Dear colleagues,
The preparations for the 19th International Congress of Immunology taking place in Vienna from August 17-22 this year are going very well. Please visit the homepage of the meeting (https://iuis2025.org/) to watch the continuous updates regarding the scientific and social program. You can expect an exciting meeting with top speakers (please refer to confirmed-speakers line-up at: https://iuis2025.abstractserver.com/program/#/persons), among them two Nobel Laureates.
Despite the large number of abstracts already received, I succeeded to persuade IUIS to keep the submission deadline for the low registration fees and the possibility of travel grants open until February 25, which is actually my birthday.
I am writing to you now to ask you to spread the news that one can submit abstracts until February 25 (https://iuis2025.org/abstracts/) among your lab members, your colleagues and in your scientific society.
I hope that many additional abstracts will reach us until February 25 because I would like to welcome as many of you as possible to our congress. Please note that we have introduced a discount of 10% for groups of 10 persons who join for abstract submission. As promised, we can offer high quality accommodation including breakfast for around 50.- Euro per day.
Not only the scientific program of this congress will be outstanding, we are organizing also unique events such as an Immunology Run in the place where the first person ran the marathon distance below 2 hours and there will be huge clubbing event in the famous Vienna Prater. No need to mention the many other attractions of Vienna (https://iuis2025.org/discover-vienna/) and our hospitality which we will offer to you.
Please join us for this unique global event in the heart of Europe.
I look forward to welcoming you personally,
yours, Rudolf Valenta

Vienna is well known as a central meeting point in the world. It´s tradition as a central European city goes back to ancient times. It has been known as a capital in the Roman Empire and the Habsburgian Monarchy for centuries and today is a beautiful cosmopolitan city. In Vienna, a true melting pot in Europe, you can strongly feel the influence of the surrounding countries which is reflected in Vienna culture, architecture, and cuisine. In 2025 we will celebrate the 200th birthday of the great Austrian musician Johann Strauss, who became world-famous as the composer of waltzes among them the “The Blue Danube” waltz. Accordingly, we selected the theme “Waltzing into the Future of Immunology: For a better Health” as a motto for the congress. After having experienced the COVID-19 pandemic everybody will agree that Immunology is highly important for mankind.
